“He who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true man.” This famous Chinese idiom shows how fabulous the Great Wall is. As one of the new Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Wall has already become a place of interest where foreigners cannot miss in China.
On September 7, a glorious Friday, we LL.M. students, Professor Wang and Bob in the Temple program visited the Great Wall together to have fun. After one and a half hours bus-trip, we finally reached our first stop—the restaurant we were going to have lunch. With the delicious Chinese food, LL.M. had pleasant talks during the lunch.
Having got enough energy, LL.M. set up for the Great Wall. The cable car took us to the hillside, with the green trees and mountains going backward. At the platform we had a rest, the mountain carved with the words “loyal to Chairman Mao” came into our sight. Taking some photos, we continued to climb the Great Wall for 3 hours with the final result that most of us reached the top.
Escaped from the polluted and crowded city, the beautiful scenery and the fresh air left a great impression on us. Though tired and exhausted, we still had an unforgettable day with all our dear friends
We are looking forward to our next trip.
