On the morning of November 12, 2019, more than 40 Chinese and foreign students from the Law School of Tsinghua University went to the Beijing first Intermediate People's Court to attend the court hearing. Students participating in the audit include undergraduate students in administrative law case study courses, graduate students in Chinese administrative litigation law courses, and foreign students in law school LLM programs. Hearing was led by Professor He Haibo.

The case this time was an administrative punishment case for insider trading. The defendant was the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and Xue Feng, president of the administrative court of the First Intermediate Court, served as presiding judge. The amount of punishment in the case was hundreds of millions, the application of law was complicated, and the trial time was as long as three hours. The classmates read the case materials such as the administrative penalty decision before class, and will further explore the case after class. After the trial, members of the collegiate panel were invited to take a group photo with their classmates.

Through this observation, the classmates felt the solemn atmosphere of the court and intuitively understood the court's trial procedures. Everyone was very impressed by the professionalism of the collegiate bench and the agents of both sides. International students have expressed that they are glad to have the opportunity to go to a Chinese court to hear the trial, and the shock brought by their own experience is stronger than the teaching materials and teaching.

Tsinghua Law School has established a stable cooperation and exchange mechanism with several courts in Beijing. Entering the court to experience justice and studying while observing has become a regular teaching method for case study classes at Tsinghua Law School.
