On September 23rd, the students 2011 fall semester had a wonderful tour to the Mutianyu Great Wall with some local students of the law school. Mutianyu Great Wall which enjoys a reputation of “one of the greatest wonders of the world”, is situated in Huairou District of Beijing. Mutianyu Great wall has a longer history and is bestowed with brilliant cultural deposit. It is the essence of the Ming Great Wall. Mutianyu Great Wall has a unique style of building, where fortresses intensive, pass advantageous, both sides have crenel city. Also, Mutianyu Great Wall tourist area is surrounded by mountains. it is more beautiful than words.
Fall is the best season to visit the Great Wall, and that Friday was particularly a beautiful day for travelling. First the whole students climbed the Great wall by a cable car for half of the whole journey, and we could see blue sky and red leaves dancing in the wind. And then we climb up by walk. Though It was tired to climb the Great Wall, All students kept walking all the time and took a lot of photos. All the students were attracted by the wonderful scenery, and they said the Travelling to Mutianyu Great Wall provided them abundant contents and they all had a great time.
It is really a good way of understanding Chinese culture by Visiting some historical sites in Beijing. After Walking down the Great Wall, the students still kept talking about how wonderful the Great Wall is. Visiting the Great Wall was not only a good physical exercise but a special experience of China.
